Transfer credit may be granted for advanced placement (AP) coursework, college-level examination program (CLEP), DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST), and International Baccalaureate (IB).

Advanced Placement (AP) Standards at Mercy College

To be awarded college credit for successful completion of an Advanced Placement exam, a student must obtain a grade of “C” or better, or a specific score based on the College Board Exam criteria (Advanced Placement and CLEP). These exams may be attempted if a student has not already audited or failed the course at any college or university. Exams taken through the College Board (Advanced Placement and CLEP) are reflected on the student’s Mercy College transcript but are not included in the student’s cumulative grade point average.
