New Student Orientation (NSO) Information

Participating in the New Student Orientation (NSO) program prepares new Mercy College students for success in their academic endeavors and provides an opportunity to learn more about the campus community.

Mercy College offers a variety of NSO experiences depending on if you are a land-based student at the Toledo or Youngstown campus, or are enrolled as an online program student. To best prepare for your Mercy College journey, please carefully read all of the NSO information provided.

Please note that NSO is a requirement for land-based students.

Toledo Programs

Online Programs

Online program students are highly encouraged to complete the online New Student Orientation (NSO) program prior to the first day of classes.

The link for the online NSO will be sent to your Mercy College email address beginning the week registration opens. It will include information about important dates and deadlines; how to pay your bill; how to drop courses; how to add or make changes to your course schedule; an introduction to technology services, including the Canvas Learning Management System; review of College policies and procedures; review of academic and behavioral expectations; and, student services available to help you succeed.
